We’re back and ready to celebrate! Last year, we had a blast with caroling and cocoa, and we can’t wait to do it again!

🎅 Special Guests: Mr. Grinch, Santa, and more friends will be joining us!

Caroling Stroll through the park with MSU Choral Society and Western Plains Children’s Choir.

This event is free to attend, and there will be free goodies for kids while supplies last! Central Brew will be onsite, offering delicious hot drinks to keep you warm, so bring a little cash if you’d like. Here’s the drink menu:

  • Coffee: $2.50
  • Apple Cider: $3.00
    Hot Chocolate: $3.50
  • Chai Tea: $4.00

Mid Summer Festival 2024

The Scandinavian Heritage Association along with it’s partners and sponsors will hold the Mid Summer Festival Friday June 21 (3pm – 10pm), Saturday June 21 (10am – 10pm), and Sunday (11am-12:30pm)

Note: Please park at the Jim Hill School or Town & Country Shopping Center parking lot and walk to the park as parking is extremely limited.


On Friday June 21st at 4pm – Join Us for the John Sinn Community Service Award Dedication

We are thrilled to honor the legacy of John Sinn, a man whose dedication to volunteering left an indelible mark on our community. John lived by the mantra of giving 101% to everything he did, and fittingly, he lived to be 101 years old. His life exemplified his belief, giving his all until his final days.
John’s volunteer work spanned numerous organizations in Minot, including: Scandinavian Heritage Association, Golden Kiwanis, First Lutheran Church, Minot State Athletics, Norsk Hostfest.

In the spirit of his unwavering commitment, we are proud to introduce the John Sinn Award for Community Volunteering, also known as the “101% Club.”

Criteria for the John Sinn Award for Community Volunteering:
Must be nominated by an organization in Minot
Must volunteer at a nonprofit organization in Minot
Must give 101%
Join us in celebrating those who embody John’s spirit and dedication to making our community a better place.
